Step-by-Step Setup Guide
- Visit the Official Website: Open your browser and go to https://trezor.io/start. Confirm the site is secure by checking for the HTTPS lock symbol.
- Connect Your Device: Use the USB cable to connect your Trezor hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device.
- Verify Device Authenticity: Follow on-screen instructions to compare the holographic seal on your device with official reference images or videos.
- Install Firmware: If prompted, install the latest firmware via Trezor Suite or the web interface. Your device ships without firmware and must be updated to function.
- Create Wallet: Select "Create new wallet" to generate a new recovery seed, or "Recover wallet" if restoring an existing backup seed.
- Backup Recovery Seed: Write down the recovery seed words displayed by your device on the provided recovery cards. Keep them securely offline.
- Set a PIN Code: On your device, set a PIN using the randomized touchscreen keypad to secure against unauthorized physical access.
- Activate Coins: Choose which cryptocurrencies you want to enable and manage in Trezor Suite.
- Access Trezor Suite: Start using Trezor Suite to securely send, receive, and manage your crypto assets.
